Invitations language

In your Lipscore account: Settings > Invitation setup > General > Invitations language 

By default, the invitation language is set to “Automatic”. This means that Lipscore will select the language template based on the language code provided in the data sent from your system to the Lipscore system. Currently, Lipscore supports 15 languages: English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Russian, and Japanese.

Sending invitations in various languages

If your website operates in more than one language, the language coding varies depending on which language version was used when making a purchase, and you want to send invitations in various languages:

  1. Leave the Invitations language setting at Automatic
  2. Go to Settings > Invitation setup > Email settings and customize texts on templates for each of the languages your website operates in. It is not obligatory, and if you don’t default language templates will be used – however, the response rates are higher when invitations are personalized.

Sending invitations in one language

You may prefer that, regardless of how many languages your website operates in, all invitations are sent in one selected language.

If so, go to Settings > Invitation setup > General > Invitations language > choose the language from the dropdown list and confirm with the blue tick.

In this case, you do not need to customize all language templates – but we recommend you do customize the language template you are going to use.

Separate Lipscore account for each language

If you have a separate account for each language version of your website, the invitations will be sent in the language determined in the language code that the data sent to Lipscore contains.

Please remember to brand and customize the language template relevant to the website language in each account separately.

In order to always see the invitation template in relevant language when you go to Invitations setup, you need to set up the Default site language. Go to Settings > General > Default site language and set it to the language relevant to this account.
