Importing Q&As from a Previous Provider
Some customers begin collecting product questions and answers (Q&As) with Lipscore, while others make the switch after using another provider. If you are moving from another platform, you may wish to bring your existing Q&A content with you.
It is absolutely possible to import historical Q&As into Lipscore. To ensure a smooth import process, please follow the instructions below carefully when preparing your import file.
In most cases, Q&As collected through other platforms belong to the webshop, which means you are free to export and re-use them. However, if you are unsure about ownership rights, we recommend that you contact your previous provider and request written confirmation that you are allowed to use the Q&A content elsewhere.
Q&A Import Template
To successfully import Q&As into Lipscore, the data must be provided in a specific structure. It is your responsibility to supply the file in an importable format. Please be aware that exporting the file in the required structure is often not possible from your previous provider’s platform. You may need to manually rework the data to include only the necessary fields as per our specifications.
Required Columns
Your file should contain the following column headers:
- productid – ID used for the product in your Lipscore integration
- question – The customer’s question
- answer – The provided answer to the question
- username – Display name of the customer asking the question
- useremail – Email of the customer asking the question
- dateofquestion – Date when the question was submitted (format: YYYY-MM-DD)
- dateofanswer – Date when the answer was published (format: YYYY-MM-DD)
Important: The template file for Q&A import is available below. Please remove any instructional rows before submitting the final version for import.
