How to Enable AI Summaries
AI Summaries help shoppers quickly understand customer feedback by generating concise summaries of published ratings and reviews.
Before you enable this feature, we recommend you to read all about the feature and the widgets in these articels:
If you do not have this feature enabled, please reach out to our Support or directly to your Customer Success Manager with a request for more details and quote.
Once the AI Summary feature has been enabled for your Lipscore account, you can configure all AI Summary settings from:
Lipscore Account → Widgets → Widget Settings → AI Summary
From this page, you can enable AI Summary generation, configure widget settings, and manually regenerate summaries when needed.
Step 1: Enable AI Summary Generation
To generate AI Summaries for your existing review data:
- Go to Widgets → Widget Settings → AI Summary.
- Go through the widget settings for the AI Summary widgets.
- Click Generate button to generate AI Summaries.
The following message is displayed:
AI Summaries generation has started. This process may take several hours to complete. AI Summaries will be available once generation is completed.
Depending on the number of eligible products and services in your account, the initial generation may take some time.
Note: A product or service becomes eligible for AI Summary generation when it has at least 10 published reviews.
Step 2: Enable AI Summary Widgets
After summaries have been generated, you can enable the widgets that display the summaries on your website.
Navigate to our Widget documentation page to find implementation instructions for the AI Summary widgets: https://members.lipscore.com/widgets/docs
You can enable or disable widgets independently of summary generation.
Automatic Summary Updates
AI Summaries are automatically regenerated every 30 days.
A scheduled process runs daily and regenerates summaries that have reached the 30-day refresh interval and generate new summaries for products who have reached the minimum threshold of 10 reviews. This ensures summaries continue to reflect the latest customer feedback.
Manually Regenerate AI Summaries
If you want to refresh your summaries before the next automatic update, you can manually regenerate all AI Summaries.
To do so:
- Navigate to Widgets → Widget Settings → AI Summary.
- Click Regenerate all summaries.
Manual regeneration is available once every 30 days.
When regeneration is available, you’ll see:
You can now regenerate all review summaries. After regeneration, the next update will be available in 30 days.
If regeneration isn’t yet available, the button is disabled and displays the next available regeneration date.
