Branding invitations

In your Lipscore account: Menu > Settings > Invitation setup > Email settings

The goal of branding your invitations is making them look as a natural last step of your customer’s shopping experience. How you brand and customize the invitations plays an important role in whether your shoppers will or will not feel encouraged to share their opinions with you. When a new account is created, the invitations have no branding at all and default texts are used. Taking into consideration that the 21st century online shopper receives a lot of review requests, making your invitations catchy and personal seems like a must. 

Best practices for branding your invitations

  1. Upload logo – for the sake of immediate recognizability;
  2. Consider adding a banner – to make the invitation more visually attractive. Banner is not a must – if you prefer simplicity and this is what guides your website design, stick to it;
  3. Use colors from your website’s color palette;
  4. For the button in invitation, choose the same color that you are using for CTA (call-to-action) buttons on your website;
  5. Unless this matches closely your website design, do not use heavy colors or gray for inner background – such invitations tend to have worse response rates;
  6. If you are seding out email updates to your customers in the order processing period, make the Lipscore invitations look similar to these automatic emails.

Long story short – make the invitations look as natural as possible to your shoppers, so that they are perceived as an integral part of the shopping experience.

Graphic editor functions

In the graphic editor you can:

  • Add your logo and optionally a banner
  • Change the color of the button, background outside of the frame, inside the frame and the frame itself
  • Change colors of the heading, body, footer text, and even the Lipscore link text
  • Choose from 11 fonts
  • Change the size of body text
  • Decide on the alignment of the logo / banner
  • Change the alignment of the text

If via the integration product pictures are sent to Lipscore, you can decide to display them in the invitations by turning the Show product images setting to Yes. You will see the note “Products are missing images. Update your integration to include product images or contact us for assistance.” if there are no images in the Lipscore Database at the moment.

To help your shoppers better understand the meaning of each star, you may decide to turn on explanatory captions by turning on the Show star labels setting.

The stars in the invitations and on the landing page will get clear and colorful descriptions:

You can adjust the colors of captions in the editor.

Please note that the changes to colors you will be applying will not be visible on the preview real-time. Make sure to hit the Save button, and then the Edit button and Exit edit mode. This is when you will see the updated design.

The design you choose in the graphic panel will be applied to:

  1. all the invitations (2 product invitations and 1 service invitation). Note: If you have more than one Lipscore account, the branding needs to be applied separately in each account.
  2. automatic email notifications sent to your users by our system (e.g. when you write a public reply a review, the notification your customer will receive will inherit invitations branding)
  3. Lipscore-hosted reviews landing page (what is Lipscore hosted landing page?)
